IEDC (Integrated Education for Disabled Children)

               As on the Basis of of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Zero Rejection Policy we are having IEDC. There 7 Resource Teachers under our BRC .The children who  identified through survey as children with special needs are trained under our BRC .The Resource Teachers were given 20 days intensive training in 5 spells    at 4 days duration each. The training included curriculum adaptation    handling up children with special needs and other related areas.

• Home based tuition are provided by our RT’s children. Resource Teachers regularly visited the houses    of those children twice in a week and implemented minimum level of    education.
• The BRC Centres (Resource Rooms) were equipped with more    equipment teaching, learning and demonsration facilities to children and    parents. The parents and children visited the centres during holidays    which was a major landmark. Under IED funds, many schools were provided assistance construction of rail and ramps.
• Adapted toilets were constructed to schools.
• The parental awareness programmes were conducted once in every Saturdays .

OUR IEDC AUTISM CENTRE

                          An Autism Centre has been working as a part of Konni BRC at Glps Peroorkulam since 2012.We are giving training for 30 Children at our Autism Centre. We are giving emphasize on Speech Therapy, Curricular activities etc. Rather than this we are providing Vocational Training, Parental Awareness ,TLM Workshop and Counseling for Parents .On every Saturday we are providing Remedial Teaching at our Autism Centre. One of our RT itself gives speech therapy,materials required for speech therapy are included in TLM Workshop. We are providing counseling for parents and vocational training along with children’s Remedial Teaching on every Saturdays. Vocational Training such as cover making, carry bag making etc are providing at our Autism Centre.
